大爪翼類 (だいそうよくるい、Macronychoptera) は、翼竜類に属する爬虫類の一群である。
概要
始翼竜類 Eopterosauria よりも Novialoidea に近い翼竜が含まれる。この分類群は、 Novialoidea とディモルフォドン類 (Dimorphodontia) の二つの分類群からなる。
名称
学名の「Macronychoptera」は、ほかの翼竜に比べて、前肢の第一指～第三指の末節骨が大きいことから名付けられた。古典ギリシア語で μακρός (makrós) は「長い、大きい」、ὄνυξ (ónux) は「爪」、πτερόν (pterón) は「翼」という意味である。
「大爪翼類」という和名は、パーカー (2020)で用いられている。
